Considered to be a benchmark producer in the region, Tiefenbrunner was founded in 1848. Their vineyards lie on the steep slopes of the region, one in particular, the Feldmarschell von Fenner Muller Thurgau is at 1000 metres above sea-level, and is trellised with the local pergola and wine frame methods. The winery is located in Entiklar, a hamlet of Kurtatsch and the estate consistently wins many awards in Italy's most famous wine guide, the "Gambero Rosso".
This Pinot Grigio is pale yellow to sandy in color and subtle in its bouquet, with fruity notes of pears and candied fruits. The eloquent, harmonious body emphasizes its dry, full-bodied taste and round finish.
White spring blossom and citrus aromas waft out of the glass. On the palate, crisp acidity brightens creamy apple, pear and tangerine zest. It's quite simply crisp and delicious. Best Buy. Rating: 91 Points; Wine Enthusiast
