This is made from two plots, one in Volnay and the other on the plain of Puligny-Montrachet. It has a deep nose, with black berries and bramble fruits on the nose. On the palate it has a slightly weightier texture than the others, still light and juicy but the tannins are just a bit firmer and this has a darker fruit profile. Very delicious and drinkable but one that will also go the distance in terms of ageing. Lovely lingerie black cherry flavour around the sides of the mouth, this also has a cooling, blue fruit intensity that delivers on the finish. Alc: 13.5%; Drink: 2021 - 2030; Rating: 93 Points; Decanter

Deep red colour with a good tint of purple in the rim, and a sappy, stewed fruit bouquet, almond and walnut as well as poached cherry and preserved plum. The palate is medium-weight and very savoury, the primary fruit having all but mellowed out, the tannins softly drying and powdery. A very good Burgundy in its station. Date Tasted: August 2021; Drink: 2021 to 2026; Price: $50.00; Alcohol: 13.5%; Rating: 90 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review
