Silkwood's focus is on quality fruit, and winemaking is focused on expressing the distinctive traits that each variety is renowned for. Set in Pemberton’s premier wine growing region amidst towering “karri” forests, Silkwood’s 24 hectare vineyard is blessed with gravelly soils and cool, even temperatures during the ripening periods. It was these characteristics that confirmed the decision to establish Silkwood Estate at this site in 1998.
Savoury black cherry and dark berry nuances. Full of striking dark berry flavours that linger on the palate, with elegant oak spice and fine tannins providing great structure.
