During 160 years of winemaking, Seppelt has built a reputation of innovation and unswerving dedication to quality. The Seppelt philosophy involves harnessing the strengths of each viticultural region to create varietally and regionally expressive wines of great character. Seppelt has had more experience with this unique Australian wine style than any other winemaker.
Seppelt’s prized Drumborg Vineyard Range is sourced from the mature, cool-climate Seppelt Drumborg Vineyard in South-West Victoria’s Henty Region. Planted in 1964 by Karl Seppelt and swept by icy Winds from the Southern Ocean, it is one of the Southern-most vineyards of mainland Australia.
Yet another set of ever-changing label design. The wine's intensity and drive comes from its exclusion of mlf, its pH of 3.12 and acidity of 7.9g/l. As Seppelt says, made in the modern style, mainly fermented and matured in French puncheons, its length the by-product of its relentless drive.
