The Rosenvale Vineyards story begins in the province of Prussia in 1850 when Gottfried and Johanna Rosenzweig immigrated to Australia fleeing a life of poverty. They settled in the small Barossa Valley village of Moculta in 1858. Like their fellow German countrymen, the Rosenzweigs brought to the Barossa a deep attachment and love of the land. This passion for the land has seen six family generations continuously farm the soils of the Barossa.
Very light straw-yellow hue, with a fresh green herb aroma tinged with Sunlight Soap lemoniness, the palate light and savoury, dry and lean and quite taut. The palate is long and fluent, and super-dry. A lip-smacking wine, which does a great traditional Hunter impersonation.
