The Robert Oatley Signature Series draws on a remarkable portfolio of vineyards nurtured by the winemaking talent of Larry Cherubino showcasing Australia’s most successful wine styles and regions. Bob Oatley’s mantra was that all wines should be a “darned good drink”, and the high quality Signature Series delivers immediate appeal, with satisfying flavours over an elegant frame. Each wine embodies the grape variety and region in which it was grown.
Grapes from the southern end of McLaren Vale. This is an unwooded red wine, similar in weight and body to a young Pinot Noir, Tempranillo or Sangiovese. It should be enjoyed at least lightly chilled, which will allow its lifted aromatics and bright, breezy personality to shine.

Deep youthful red/purple colour with a gloriously fresh, perfumed aroma of rose, violet, red and darker berries, the palate intense and gentle, soft and round and elegantly-structured, with great drinkability already and oodles of charm. Lovely wine. Drink 2020-2030; Rating: 93 Points; Huon Hooke
McLaren Vale provenance in the modern Grenache game has big pulling power, here from the southern end of the region which leads it towards a more medium to fuller bodied wine rather than lighter more pinot-esque styling. Crafted without oak, its varietal fragrance is bang on par, with definite earthy, peppery and sweetly herbal and spicy toned crimson fruits that trigger raspberry, Turkish delight like flavours with sticky, come-again mouth feels. Plenty of interest if you like your grenache leaning more towards a shiraz style. Good value at $24. Drink 2020-2025; Rating: 93 Points; Tony Love
