Riorret is terroir spelt backwards, but its method of vinification ('it's harder to do nothing', says Steve Webber) and the particular climate of '17 make terroir of secondary consequence. This is a stylish wine of length, a particular spicy forest fruit character the driver. Drink to: 2029; Price: $45.00; Date Tasted: Sept 2018; Alcohol: 13.5%; Rating: 95 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
