Philippe Colin Chassagne Montrachet La Maltroie 1er Cru 2013
Domaine Philippe Colin was established back in 2004. Today, it grows or farms 11.5 hectares (28.4 acres) of vineyards around the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, in the south Cote de Beaune.
A unique appellation, as it encompasses all vineyard plantings within the limits of the town center of Chassagne-Montrachet. The average age of the vines is approximately 35 years.
Good freshness and verve to the delicious, intense and textured medium-bodied flavors that display a subtle touch of finishing minerality on the beautifully long and balanced finale. I like the sense of harmony here and this should be accessible after only 2 to 3 years of cellaring.
