O'Leary Walker Wines was established in 2000 by winemakers David O'Leary and Nick Walker. With over twenty five years experience and established reputations making premium wine with the big companies, these two long time friends decided to take control of their own destiny and craft small batches of wine from some of the best vineyard sites in South Australia. With a great leap of faith they are now doing exactly what they set out to.

A benchmark aged Clare Valley Riesling. A nose of hot buttered toast with lime marmalade. Absolutely delicious with incredible length. Price: $40.00; Panel Chair: Ewan Murray | Co-Chair: Tim Atkin MW; Rating: 95 Points & Gold Medal; International Wine Challenge, London 2020

Bright green-straw; the bouquet has lime, apple blossom and talc aromas, the fresh and zesty palate driving through to the finish on the back of lime and mineral flavours. Drink to: 2023; Price: $22.00 (on release in 2011); Date Tasted: September 2011; Alcohol: 12.5%; Rating: 94 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday

Riesling - so undervalued. This classic Clare Riesling from the Polish Hill River sub-district is mightily fine now, yet will easily reward the patient drinker over 10-20 years. Honeysuckle, lime aromatics, a nod toward the tropical fruit spectrum with some guava, and citrus in the form of lemon, and orange peel. In the mouth it offers a tart, concentrated, mineral body with a backbone of acid that provides focus and intensity. Delivering a short burst - a mini-explosion of flavour - before its fine line and length deliver chalky minerality through the finish. Price: $22.00 (on release in 2011); Rating: 93 Points; Stuart Robinson; Vinsomniac
