Ninth Island wines are produced by Kreglinger Wine Estates at their Pipers Brook winery in Northern Tasmania. The estate grown and produced wines are made from fruit sourced from Estate owned vineyards in the Pipers Brook and Tamar Valley regions of Tasmania. The wine is named after a small island in Bass Strait opposite the Pipers River Vineyard's. The small island covering around 32 hectares is a wildlife refuge for penguins and the occasional seal and of course there are no vineyards there.
This Pinot Noir showcases our cool climate vineyard sites in the North of Tasmania. Expressive aromas of raspberries, boysenberry with red cherries and hints of earthy spice. Flavours of cherry and mixed berries with hints of mulberry and lasting concentration. Abundant berry fruit and fine supple structure, perfectly suited for early enjoyment.'
