Ninth Island wines are produced by Kreglinger Wine Estates at their Pipers Brook winery in Northern Tasmania. The estate grown and produced wines are made from fruit sourced from Estate owned vineyards in the Pipers Brook and Tamar Valley regions of Tasmania. The wine is named after a small island in Bass Strait opposite the Pipers River Vineyard's. The small island covering around 32 hectares is a wildlife refuge for penguins and the occasional seal and of course there are no vineyards there.
Ninth Island Chardonnay showcases our cool climate vineyard sites in the North of Tasmania. Stone fruit aromas of white peach with toasted cashew, citrus blossom and subtle savoury spice. Richly textured with delicate cool climate acidity.
