Established in 1972 Mountadam High Eden estate is Australia’s first cool climate Chardonnay vineyard. Situated on a unique rocky outcrop ranging in elevation up to 550m, the vineyards have a commanding easterly aspect over the Eden Valley. This wine is made using tradition methods and is a blend of the exclusive multi clonal resources available on the estate.

Pale straw in the glass with aromas of nectarine, white peach and citrus fruits with hints of vanillin oak, grilled cashews, struck match, soft spice and stone. Fine, dry and precise with a lovely textural sway as it flows across the palate, finishing savoury and sapid. From the Mountadam vineyard, established in 1972, this is a flamboyant and powerful Chardonnay. Spicy ginger takes the lead, introducing a Chardonnay of tang and refinement. Phenolic grip, high class vanillin oak and high altitude acidity unite harmoniously on the finish. Rating: 94 Points; Tyson Stelzer
