Considering this is whole-bunch pressed to French oak, 40% new, with lots of solids and undergoes mlf, it's surprisingly restrained and lithe. Citrus-toned with moreish sulphides, there's texture and intensity with talc-like acidity keeping everything reined-in rather well. A stylish chardonnay. Rating: 95 Points; Halliday Wine Companion

Light, bright yellow colour, with a very complex bouquet of malt, toasted nuts, nougat, oatmeal - all components are in fine harmony. The wine is briskly tangy, thanks to elevated acidity. Great vitality; a superb, light-bodied, fine-boned chardonnay. Rating: 95 Points; Huon Hooke

Smell the glove. Taste the wine. Cracker night. Green mango and citrus. Almond meal and spice. Finesse, intensity, a gentle gloss over flinty struck match and quartz, juiciness of fruit, but with restraint. Impeccable length. Outstanding. Smell it. Tasted: Nov18; Alcohol: 13%; Price: $60; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2020-2027+ Rated: 96 Points; Gary Walsh; The Wine Front
