Domaine Millet is located in Tonnerre. This family-owned estate is comprised of 32 acres on 4 of the 20 sites of the Chablis Appellation - Poilly, Viviers, Béru, Chichée. In Chablis, the soil is a determining factor. Domaine Millet's aim is to interfere as little as possible with the natural ecology of the vineyard.
This Petit Chablis of pale colour with turquoise highlights is clear and gleaming to the eye. The nose is fine and elegant, with pleasant notes such as crisp celery and rich exotic notes of pineapple and pear. In the mouth, the attack is supple and fresh. The middle is characterized by roundness: pineapple and pear on the palate give the wine length and richness.
White florals, lemon juice, preserved lemon, fresh air and a lovely pithiness that lifts from the glass. Quite aromatic and tense. The palate is beautifully focused, mineral and driven. Lovely slightly bitter finish with mouth coating phenolics. Jono Hersey; French Wine Centre
