Maverick Wines was established in 2004. The objective was and is to be one of the top premium boutique wineries in Australia. Although the company is young, Maverick owns 75 acres of vineyards from the top terroirs across the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Approximately half of the vines are over 100 years old, and many much older.
Showing outstanding fruit purity with seductive complexity; gorgeous aromas of blackberry, vanilla, thyme and spicy oak lead to a concentrated palate that’s weighty and creamy with layers of silky texture and supple tannins. Medium deep crimson. Intense blackberry, mulberry aromas with chinotto, paneforte notes. Generous and velvety smooth with plentiful blackberry dark chocolate, paneforte flavours, fine looseknit chocolaty textures, lovely mid palate volume and underlying savoury roasted walnut complexity.
