Guillaume d'Angerville manages the Domaine Marquis d'Angerville with modernity but preserving the essential values that have been transmitted by his predecessors: rigor, respect for the great terroirs, humility in the face of surprises that nature reserves, year after year, vintage after vintage.
A background note of menthol sits atop the spicy combination of floral and the pure essence of dark pinot fruit. The highly energetic and equally pure middle weight flavors brim with minerality on the beautifully refined, saline and even firmer finish that also exhibits a trace of youthful austerity. This well-balanced effort is really quite lovely and very Frémiets incharacter. Tasted: Apr 15; Drink: 2026+; Issue: 70; Comments: Outstanding; Rating 90-93 Points; Allen Meadows; Burghound
