Pale yellow colour and screaming of its youth. Lemons and limes, bath salts and citrus blossom. The palate is fresh - lemon fruit hovers over an ethereal, mineral-driven and textural finish. A wine that speaks as much of place as it does the variety. Quite delicious. Drink: 2019 to 2027; Price: $21.00; Alcohol: 12%; Rating: 95 Points; Nick Butler; The Real Review
It offers a good deal of flavour up-front but it then turns measured and long. It’s stony and dry but it doesn’t forget about flavour. Chalk, nashi pear and citrus. Good riesling from sure. Textural. Food-friendly. Tasted: Nov 19; Alcohol: 12%; Price: $21; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2019-2026+; Rated: 93 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front
Lime and lime washing liquid with a slight sea spray spritz minerality/freshness. Green apple, mandarin. Mineral, steely line, light musk and jasmine tea aroma. A little generosity of lime flesh to stick to the bones and allow youthful consumption. A little waxy with balanced well managed acidity. Quality drinking times and potential for medium term ageing. Price: $21.00; Date Tasted: Oct 2019; Alcohol: 12%; Rating: 18.25/20.0; VinoNoteBook
Hand-picked from Block 14, crushed, pressed and cool-fermented. The fruit does all the talking, and does so fluently. Classic citrus sorbet with lime and lemon each contributing the power for the long palate. A steal. Drink to: 2029; Price: $21.00; Date Tasted: Nov 2019; Alcohol: 12%; Rating: 93 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
