Jean Pierre Perrin established La Vieille Ferme over 35 years ago, using the same grape varieties in similar proportions to those planted at the family's Chateau de Beaucastel. La Vieille Ferme is recognised for its consistently fine quality and value.
Beautiful red color, with purple reflections. With lots of freshness, this 2017 vintage is the archetype of a wine that gives pleasure: authentic, sincere and tasty. It has notes of red and black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant), rich and spicy. The mouth is fruity and full-bodied boosting the taste buds. Balanced, crisp, with silky tannins, the final has a beautiful aromatic persistence.
The Perrin family of Château Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape make this wine at their estate in Ventoux, blending equal parts cinsault and grenache with 20 percent syrah. The 2017, from the driest vintage they’ve experienced in 30 years, is firm and crisp, with tangy berry flavors playing over a stony savor that holds the wine long and clean.
