Josef Chromy OAM has been instrumental to the Tasmanian food and wine industry having owned and developed some of Tasmania’s leading wineries including Rochecombe (now Bay of Fires), Jansz, Heemskerk and Tamar Ridge. You’ll still find Joe out inspecting the vineyard and working with the winemaking team, as he believes this is the best way to keep tabs on what is happening in the business.

Bright vibrant red. Lifted sweet and sour cherry nose with soft chocolate oak. A soft, balanced palate of dark plum with rounded tan-nins and subtle spicy tones. 100% Pinot Noir sourced from our estate vineyard at Relbia in northern Tasmania. Selected batches of Pinot Noir were hand picked and gently destemmed before ferment. Gentle plunging and pump-over techniques ensure retention of bright fresh fruit characters. Light maturation in French Oak barriques lends structure without overpowering the fruit. Screwcapped to enable the wine to be enjoyed at it’s optimum.

A blend of estate and purchased fruit from the Tamar Valley. Bright cherry red in colour with lifted aromas of red cherry, mulberry and raspberry fruits cut through with hints of exotic spice, pressed flowers and notes of game and charcuterie. Quite sweet-fruited with a bright, instantly appealing personality at a great price point. Drink to: 2026; Price: $27.00; Alcohol: 13.2%; Rating: 91 Points & Special Value Star; Dave Brookes; James Halliday Wine Companion
