This is very good: balletic, airy and strident across a palate of precise mineral crunch and tangy, botrytis acidity; a dainty, sweet riesling that finishes almost palpably dry as flavours of quince marmalade, lime splice and ginger seemingly evaporate across its spine. There is not a cloying note. Drink to: 2026; Price: $25.00; Alcohol: 10.3%; Rating: 94 Points & Special Value Star; Ned Goodwin MW; James Halliday Wine Companion
Flashing green-gold and brilliant in the glass, this sweet wine has plenty of honeyed, malty, candied peel and cumquat liqueur aromas revealing plenty of botrytis influence. There's also a smoky note adding complex dimension. It's very sweet and luscious in the mouth, but high acidity pares back the syrupy qualities somewhat giving it real zip. Drink: 2019 to 2024; Price: $25.00; Alcohol: 10.3%; Rating: 92 Points; Ralph Kyte-Powell; The Real Review
