A beautiful region high up in the Central Ranges of New South Wales, Orange is increasingly recognised as a great source of premium cool-climate wines. This cool climate chardonnay has an inviting brilliant pale straw colour. Fresh aromas of white and yellow stone fruit, with some notes of citrus fruit.Generous and round fruits, carried by elegant and restrained oak. There is a refreshing crispness to the finish with a lively touch of grapefruit, which draws you back for more.
Almond and marzipan overtones. The wine is lean and focused, fine and tautly strung, the finish fine and long and seamless. Nice wine in a cleaner, purer style. Oak is subtle. May 2019. Drink: 2019 to 2026; Price: $25.00; Alcohol: 13.5%; Rating: 91 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review
