Hayes Family Wines is a small family-owned wine producer that has grown from a passion for Barossa Valley wines. The combination of exceptional food, wine and the friendly community in the Barossa Valley led them to purchase an old vineyard on an established 15 acre block in the prime location of Stone Well on the Western Ridge of the Barossa Valley. The vineyards span the western and northern reaches of the Barossa Valley. All vineyard blocks are managed on organic and or biodynamic principles and are currently undergoing certification. The vineyard blocks are typically dry grown with some blocks supported by drip irrigation. All blocks are hand pruned, hand picked and managed with extreme care and attention to detail.
The 2017 Barossa vintage presented us the opportunity to produce our first Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro blend. We have taken premium selections of Northern Barossa grapes and bottled them fresh after 10 months in predominantly older French oak. Bottled in 500ml bottles for immediate enjoyment. Region/Sub Region: Greenock Grenache, Ebenezer Shiraz and Mataro. Technical Details: Alc 14.0%. 2150 bottles filled.
