Evans & Tate found its home at Redbrook vineyard in 1974, when it was initially planted to dry-grown Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Nestled in the heart of the Wilyabrup wine region in Margaret River, Redbrook represents a range crafted from only the most exceptional fruit parcels of the vintage that enable a bold, thought provoking expression of Margaret River and Evans & Tate. Consistently producing powerful wines full of rich fruit character, if cellared correctly, these beautiful wines will continue to reward for many years to come.

An explosion of super sweet fruit in the plum and red berry spectrum, with spice notes building in the glass. The palate is flooded by white pepper and spice, with the structural components keeping the fruit in check. A very impressive wine that, whilst delicious now, will be much better in 10 years’ time (fruit cold soaked with a proportion of whole-bunch). Brendan Jansen MW
Vines planted in '75. 80% whole bunch ferment, all pressings included, 13 months in French oak, 13% new. Licorice, violets, stems, nuts and black cherries. It puts on a complex display, seamless, too, its soft fruit and texture pulling a wide gamut of flavours along for the ride. Tannin is incredibly fine-grained and its nutty length has plenty going for it. This is a mid-weight shiraz with a whole lot to offer. Drink to: 2032; Price: $40.00; Alcohol: 14.5%; Rating: 95 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
