Northern Grounds is sourced from vineyards in Seppeltsfield, Marananga, Stone Well, Greenock, Moppa, Stockwell, Ebenezer and Kalimna. Here the wines are concentrated and rich, with blue and black fruits and firm grainy tannins.  Parcels of fruit from these areas of the Barossa are selected to produce this contemporary Australian Shiraz with vibrant fruit, structure, poise and complexity.

Superbly fruited and perfumed, the bouquet shows black and purple fruit richness with vanilla, spicy oak, olive and floral nuances. It's concentrated and mouthfilling on the palate, delivering awesome fruit intensity and density backed by silky texture and polished tannins, making it delectable and immensely appealing. At its best: now to 2028. Date Tasted: July 2020; Price: $60.00; Rating: 95 Points; Sam Kim; Wine Orbit

Gold label. Barossa Shiraz. Interesting flavour profile. Different. Graphite, choc-orange, tar and saltbush flavours meet roasted plum and blackberry. It's sweet (fruited), warm, floral and toasty at once. It's not boring, that's for sure. Tasted: October 2020; Alcohol: 14.5%; Drink: 2020-2026; Rated: 92 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front
