Dominique Roger is located in the village of BUÉ, one of the 14 communes sharing the appellation area. This site has always enjoyed a solid reputation emanating from complex and exceptional terroirs. Since the 17th century, from generation to generation, the Rogers have been producing their Sancerre wine.
Light to mid-yellow, bright colour, with a ripe stone-fruit aroma. White peach, ripe pear and just a hint of kiwifruit. The palate is rich and intense, driving and mouth-filling while at the same time tense and penetrating, the acidity driving it long on the aftertaste, where a kick of alcohol resides. Refreshingly dry and beautifully balanced. A very smart sauvignon blanc. Date Tasted: Sept 2021; Drink: 2021 to 2028; Price: $70.00; Alcohol: 13.5%; Rating: 94 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review
