The 2017 release was one of the best value wines of the year. This 2018 is on song too. This is fabulous buying and drinking. The fruit is ripe and sweet but there’s an inlay of earth and besides, dry/sweet spice notes sweep convincingly throughout. It feels svelte in the mouth and it tastes just as good. It’s soft but shaped. Every bistro in the country should stock this. Tasted: May 19; Alcohol: 14.5%; Price: $20; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2019-2024; Rated: 91 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front
