The 2015 Dassault has a very ripe, blueberry and cassis-scented bouquet, licorice developing with aeration; this is a heady and opulent Saint Émilion driven by that ripe Merlot. The palate is sweet and rounded, layers of ripe dark cherry, menthol and chocolate-tinged fruit, leading to a finish that needs more freshness and finesse. This just feels a little overblown and for want of a better expression, trying too hard. Rating: 87-89 Points; Date Tasted: Apr 2016; Drink: 2020-2035; Neal Martin -

A very pretty wine with blackberry and dark chocolate aromas and flavors. Full body, soft tannins and a walnut, berry aftertaste. Impressive. Rating 93-94 Points: Date Tasted: Mar 2016;
