A partnership with our Adelaide Hills and Langhorne Creek growers, Burns & Fuller is a range of contemporary and fruit driven varietal wines made by Jim Zerella, Each wine is fruit-driven and balanced with a core of fruit given complexity by a barrel aged component.
The fruit is hand-harvested and vineyard sorted before de-stemming and cool fermentation in small two tonne open fermenters with regular hand plunging. Matured in seasoned French and American oak (30% new French) for nine months before bottling with minimal filtration and sulphur addition.
An immensely appealing shiraz; the fragrant bouquet shows ripe blackberry, mixed berry compote, mint chocolate and cedar characters. The palate displays excellent weight and concentration, wonderfully complemented by rich texture and rounded mouthfeel. Comfortingly delicious. At its best: now to 2028.
