Bleasdale Vineyards is Langhorne Creek's founding winery and Australia's second oldest family-owned and operated winery, established in 1850 by English migrant Frank Potts, who arrived in South Australia on the Buffalo in 1836.  The vineyards are situated on the flood plains of the Bremer river. Frank Potts left behind him a wonderful legacy that continues today. His sons and grandsons have operated and built up the winery, and Bleasdale is solely owned and operated by fourth- and fifth-generation members of the Potts family.

Top Gold & 97 Points - National Wine Show of Australia

Langhorne Creek fruit sourced from estate and specialist growers; 51/43/6% shiraz/cabernet sauvignon/malbec, nine months in French puncheons (10% new). This is a slick operation. It's storybook value, impossible to beat at this price. It's a (decorous) fruit bomb with silky tannins and plums, the malbec pulling a stunt with much more to taste than its volume suggests. The score is designed to encourage as many people as possible to give it a go. Drink to: 2026; Price: $22.00; Date Tasted: March 2023; Alcohol: 13.5%; Rating: 95 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
