The winegrowing farm Piero Benevelli, situated in Monforte d’Alba in the heart of the Barolo Langa, is composed by around 8 hectares of vineyards, from which approximately 40.000 bottles of wine are produced. This quantity allows us to maintain a family management of the Company, from the work in the estates to the winery. The estate is a committed to preserve the traditions and not abandon the teachings of those who came before them, at the same time supplement this knowledge with the use of modern technologies.
Dark cherry, liquorice and cocoa, spice, new leather and flowers. It’s exotic, luscious, fresh, pleasantly thick and tannic, flows into raspberry as well, carries abundant flavour, married to appropriate structure, and most importantly, drinks a charm. I don’t know if it’s better than the 2015, though I suspect it may well be: yet the score remains the same. Recommended. Tasted: Jul 18; Alcohol : 14.5%; Price: $30; Closure: Diam; Drink: 2018 -2024 ; Rated: 93 Points; Gary Walsh; The Wine Front
