The Auld family holds an important place in Australian wine history. Beginning with Patrick Auld (b. 1811), a South Australian wine & spirits merchant, wine has been a common thread in the Auld family bloodline.
Gorgeously ripe and inviting with dark plum, blackberry, vanillin oak and warm spice characters on the nose, the wine offers terrific fruit power and purity combined with seductive oak nuances and spicy notes. It's richly weighted yet elegant with a persistent flavoursome finish. Tasted: July 2021; At its best: Now to 2034; Price: $60.00; Rating: 95 Points; Sam Kim; Wine Orbit
