Heemskerk was an integral player in developing Tasmania's wine industry, long before the island reached its current state of popularity. Graham Wiltshire established the Heemskerk vineyard in 1975 and today the label looks a little further afield, making wines that reflect some of Tasmania's bestvineyard sites.
This Pinot Noir embodies the purity of Tasmania’s fruit. Bright cherry red with a fresh, floral nose, this highly aromatic wine is supported by a soft and supple palate with delicate French oak character.
Typical Tasmanian pinot noir, with abundant colour and varietal character, yet not the least heavy, heading into dry red characters. Dark cherry fruit and a generous splash of plum team up with superfine tannins to get the job done. 13.5% alc. RRP $32 / 2026 / Heemskerk ★★★★★ Rating: 94 Points; James Halliday Wine Companion
