The nose gives graphite, defined plum and blackberry with a touch of new leather. A commanding framework of tannins that work well with juicy dark fruits, this is a serious wine that needs time and beguiles it’s $20 price point. Coarse spice and dark chocolate to round out the palate, with the finish being long and drying with savoury flare to intense black fruits. This will age effortlessly. Optimal Drinking: 2015 – 2024; Patrick Eckel; WineReviewer

A fruit driven beauty. Plums and mulberries come in buckets, a lick of raspberry and cherry fruit then move on in. Soft and supple with drying tannins to finish. It packs a punch with a flavour hit but also possesses a graceful elegance. Certainly a cut above for the price point. Very good; RRP: $20; Qwine
