West Cape Howe was founded in 1997 and soon became one of the most popular wine brands in Western Australia. Over time it has acquired some of the oldest vineyard resources in the state, giving it un-equalled access to the best and most consistent quality fruit that the cool Great Southern wine region has to offer.
Lovely berry fruits; intense aromas of blueberries with some spiced plum fruit characters. A generously flavoured and well structured dry red. It has the dark cherry fruit flavours and savoury characters typical of Tempranillo, balanced by the dusty tannins that give the wine great palate length.

The 2013 was a trophy winner in Perth and this one is right up there with it. Sourced from the Perth Hills and Frankland River with a welter of cherry and raspberry on the nose sprinkled with a decent amount of spices. A delicious sweet fruit palate with that dry savoury balance so good. Rating: 94 Points & Top 100; Ray Jordan
