The West Cape Howe winery is situated on the undulating, historical and picturesque property of Langton on Muir Highway, Mount Barker, Western Australia.  The property was purchased from Goundrey in 2009. This state-of-the-art winery is a world class facility, importantly located in Mount Barker, the premier fruit source location for West Cape Howe.

From estate vineyards in Mount Barker and Frankland River. Bright, clear crimson hue; achieves the impossible of elegance and finesse in the midst of luxuriant cabernet's cassis and malbec's plum jam. The undeniably silky tannins manipulated by an unseen puppet master create the magic. Drink By: 2031; Price: 20.00: Alcohol: 14%; Rating: 95 Points & Special Value Star Top 100 Wines of the Year 2017. James Halliday; James Halliday Wine Companion

Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. One of the great combos in Australian wine. I see some alcohol warmth here but I also see so much fruit, tannin and character – it’s hard not to come down firmly in this wine’s favour. Licorice, blackcurrant, leather and violets – I’m sure there’s oak here, it has that polish, but it’s nestled within. Sensational value, really. Alcohol: 14%; Price : $22; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2018 - 2026+; Rated: 92 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front

Deep purple/red colour with a fresh and dried herb aroma superimposed over dark berry fruits. The wine has intensity and concentration of flavour as well as serious grip. It's a full-bodied, well-structured wine with excellent character and looks set to deliver over many years. Rated: 91 Points; Huon Hooke; Real Review
