The name Two Tails has a personal origin. The native birds, called Fantails, captivated us one warm and sunny afternoon with their aerobic gorging of a mayfly hatch at a local stream.
An easy drinking, food friendly, dry white wine with a generous and silky palate that defines premium Marlborough Pinot Gris. Well suited with flash fried and succulent prawns or calamari. With cheese’s try Haloumi and Gouda. Our favourite Pinot Gris dish is duck liver parfait and a drop of fig & onion jam.
The grapes for Two Tails Pinot Gris are grown in Marlborough’s Waihopai Valley. The vineyards are on north facing slopes with older river stones under alluvial loams. The vine produces grapes with elegant aromas and dense flavours including apricot, white peach and nectarine.
