The Lane Vineyard Block 10 Sauvignon Blanc 2012
At The Lane Vineyard the Edwards family step to the beat of a different drum. We dare to be different. We can be irreverent. We are always authentic. Enjoy our wine knowing we have grown every berry and made every drop at The Lane capturing the beauty of this vineyard in every glass, neither European nor Australian in style rather the best of both worlds. We give eleven tenths every day to make your wine experience unique and memorable.
Planted on a steep south facing slope, this block of Sauvignon Blanc captures the rich mineral assets that make our vineyard special. Bilateral single cane pruning ensures consistent yields with great flavour concentration. Strict canopy management allows sunlight and airflow to reach the bunches, supporting our sustainable, minimal intervention practices. Five small parcels harvested and fermented separately with no oak influence. Brilliant shining pale green. Nettle, kaffir lime leaf, zest of lemon. Seamless passionfruit, spice, rocket & lime. Laser aligned minerality. Glugable
The refinement of the 2012 whites from The Lane is something to behold, and sauvignon blanc is beautifully graceful and immaculately crafted. Refreshingly understated nashi pear and kaffir lime leave space for lees-accented, deep, mouthfilling texture and long-lingering energy.
