Riposte The Scimitar Clare Valley Riesling 2016
Lime and apple blossom aromas lead into a dazzling pure and crisp palate, finely etched acidity driving the long finish and cleansing aftertaste. A 10-year outlook may be way short of the mark, but either way, it's an automatic choice or any BYO Asian restaurant. Drink by: 2026; Date Tasted: Sept 2016; Alcohol: 11.5%; Rating: 94 Points; Special Value Star; Top 100 Wines of 2016; James Halliday Wine Companion

Jim Barry Watervale Riesling 2016
One of the first out of the blocks for '16. Jim Barry's Rieslings have exceptionally low pH, starting as low as 2.86, and acidity as high are 7.3g/l. This is a vibrantly alive wine, with vivid lime and mineral flavours on the long palate. Please yourself whether you drink it now or 10 years hence. Value++. Drink by: 2029; Price: $19.00; Date Tasted: July 2016; Alcohol: 12%; Rating: 94 Points; Special Value Star; Top 100 Wines of 2016; James Halliday Wine Companion

Woods Crampton Black Label Eden Valley Riesling 2016
Uses the first 500 litres of juice per tonne of grapes, which means you get the pure, clean juice. 125 cases made. Discreetly perfumed, with a subtle aniseed top note over lemon and lime. Light, almost dainty in the mouth, tightened up by cool pure acidity, and a stream of lemony flavour running over pebbles to close. That’s one ripper Riesling. Tasted: Sept 2016; Alcohol: 12.5%; Price: $27; Closure: Screwcap; Drink: 2016-2030+; Rating: 95 Points; Gary Walsh - The Wine Front

Vickery Eden Valley Riesling 2016
From 15-17yo low yielding vines from the Zander, Mason and Riley Vineyards, each parcel fermented separately in stainless steel before final selection and blending. Gleaming straw-green; classic young Eden Valley riesling, its citrus aromas and flavours on the midpoint between lime and lemon, the acidity flowing calmly on in the wake of the fruit, purity the watchword. Drink by: 2031; Price: $23.00; Date Tasted: Aug 2016; Alcohol: 12.5%; Rating: 96 Points & Special Vaule Star; James Halliday Wine Companion
