Roberto Voerzio established his own winery in La Morra in 1986. Beginning with just 2 hectares, Roberto and his family have succeeded in acquiring some of the most prestigious and historic crus of Barolo: La Serra, Brunate, Cerequio, Sarmassa, Rocche dell'Annunziata and Fossati, plus excellent vineyards for Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo Langhe and Merlot.

For more than thirty years, Roberto and now Davide have worked their vineyards with the greatest respect for nature and in the cellar follow a traditional path to allow the diversity of each vineyard and each vintage to emerge.

A super-classic Roberto Voerzio wine, the 2013 Barolo Brunate is powerful yet translucent, with exceptional balance and tons of class. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, menthol and a host of balsamic-inflected overtones develop nicely in the glass. In 2013, the Brunate possesses good depth, while its customary power and structure emerges with notable reluctance. Simply put, the 2013 is a jewel of a wine. Rating: 96 points; Antonio Galloni
