A charming perfume of dark cherries, plums, rose petals and freshly turned earth with undertones of fivespice, cloves and cinnamon is tightly knit with showroom-fresh but beautifully controlled cedar/vanilla oak. Silky, fine and fine-grained, it's long and unctuous, fleshy and focused, with pristine sour-edged fruit superbly entwined around stylish, crunchy fine tannins and wonderful oak. Yarra Valley (and neighboring Mornington Peninsula) may be Australia’s prime spots for Pinot Noir and Yarra Yering’s 2006 Pinot Noir does not disappoint.
