This has been open for almost two weeks now, and not surprisingly as it is a Solera wine it can stand a bit of oxidation. This is labelled as Dulce Viejo. The nose is intensely raisined and sweetly perfumed, with treacle and dried pears, and an incredible richness. The palate shows a crazy golden syrup sweetness, sticky and cloying, amazingly concentrated, with old wood characters but also a certain freshness. Very good but lacks a bit of interest.
