Aragonesas Coto De Hayas Reserva 2001 (Campo de Borja)

Within the ancient kingdom of Aragon south of La Rioja, D.O Campo de Borja is extremely continental with all varieties struggling to survive in the cold winters. Renowned predominately for reds based on Grenache and Tempranillo. The vines lie at an altitude of between 400 to 600 meters with the age of Grenache vines being between 40 to 100 years old. The resulting wines are concentrated and well structured with startling purity.

100 % 50 yrs old selected Grenache, 15 months American oak. Good integration of fruit/tannins, juicy, spice, tobacco and elegance from long ageing in bottle
