Jacobs Creek Centenary Hill Shiraz 2005

In 1947 a Moreton Bay fig tree was planted by Fred Gramp in commemoration of the first 100 years since the establishment of the first commercial vineyard in the Barossa Valley on the banks of Jacob's Creek by his grandfather, the founder of Orlando Wines, Johann Gramp. This site was named Centenary Hill and today the Moreton Bay fig still proudly overlooks Jacob's Creek. A special group of 'older vine' Barossa Shiraz vineyards are used to produce this distinctive wine which has all the qualities of what makes Barossa Shiraz famous around the world. Our Centenary Hill Shiraz has intense plum/spice aroma and flavour, is rich and full in the mouth with deliciously soft tannins.
