PHI Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012
PHI wines bring together two diverse but complementary wine partners, the De Bortoli family and the Shelmerdine family. The combination of mature vines, meticulous hand-cultivation, and an exceptional site allows the PHI wines to evolve with minimal intervention. A Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah Grenache have been created following this philosophy.
The Lusatia Park B Block Pinot Noir is regarded as one of the best single vineyard sites in the upper Yarra Valley. The philosophy is to produce Pinot Noir that speaks of the place.
A great vintage for a particularly elegant Upper Yarra site, promising great longevity. This is a pretty PHI of tangy morello cherries, crunchy strawberry hull, fragrant rose petals and touches of dried herbs. Focused, tight, mineral tannins are underscored by vibrant and well-integrated acidity.
