Parnasse is named after the mountain grass that flowers above our vineyards each spring, marking the beginning of a long, languid summer. Francoise Estier weaves the character and strengths of a number of individual regions to create a wine style truly expressive of the South of France – beautifully ripe and expressive whilst softly structured and easy to appreciate.
A 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot sourced from Languedoc in Southern France. A modern and very drinkable that retains the aromatics, complexity and structure that makes Cabernet Sauvignon the national wine of France. Aromas of ripe red berries, surrounded by varietal notes of forest herbs and black olives. The palate is medium bodied with blackcurrant and raspberry flavours framed by soft tannins. Enjoy this vibrant red wine in its youth with a range of richly flavoured meat dishes.

There is ridiculous value to be found in this delightfully laid-back red from the Pays d’Oc region in the warm south of France. It is one of number of excellent European imports from Fourth Wave Wines, and the shiraz in the same series is almost as good. The wines are made by Francois Estier, who has a deft touch, and this is extremely varietal (cassis and minty notes to the fore), with minimal oak and restrained alcohol levels (13%). It is delightfully drinkable. Winsor Dobbin, Ciao Magazine

This is beautifully ripe and fragrant on the nose displaying dark plum, cassis, floral and subtle game complexity. The palate is ripe and nicely weighted with supple mouthfeel, finishing long and attractive. It is fruit expressive and generously flavoured, and very approachable. At its best: now to 2018.
