The 2009 year began with hot conditions until the middle of February when we received overnight rain followed by more showers during March. This initiated the onset of botrytis, which was enhanced by showers and early morning dews during April providing good conditions for the infection to progress. Harvesting occurred over five days in the third week of May.

De Bortoli have established a number of Semillon vineyards over the years from which the fruit is sourced for this sweet, delectable wine. Fermentation occurs over four to eight weeks, with each vineyard kept separate to enhance characteristics during fermentation and maturation.

A vibrant mouthfeel of stone fruits, citrus, a twist of caramel and subtle oak interplay combined with a slight touch of refreshing acidity give this wine a beautifully balanced and lingering finish.
