The quality keeps rolling along. Cherries, spices, plums, candied citrus, licorice allsorts; there's plenty going on and it's all welcome. Firm-but-velvety tannin ties it neatly together. Bonza. Drink by: 2021; Price: $21.00; Alcohol: 14%; Rating: 94 Points; James Halliday Wine Companion

Grenache, shiraz and mataro. From one of the Barossa’s best producers. I can never remember whether I prefer to call it mourvedre or mataro. I think, mataro. But I like mourvedre too. There’s decisiveness for you. This is just bang on. It’s a great ‘go to’ wine. It tastes of liquorice allsorts, raspberry, wood spice and rusty earthen notes; it’s true to both the varieties involved and to the region it’s grown in. Bang. You’re in, and you’re away. There’s some decent tannin here too. Silken but firm. Excellent buying/drinking. Price : $21; Closure : Screwcap; Drink : 2016 - 2021; Rated : 93 Points; Campbell Mattinson; The Wine Front

Top value. Oodles of rich black Barossa fruit jubey character in here, but also some grunty grip and vibrant spice that makes me think it'll cellar well for a few years, too. Max Allen; Gourmet Traveller WINE
