For an importer who ships as many containers as we do, it is not unusual for the odd wine to slip between the cracks. This oversight however, can give us to opportunity to offer you a perfectly cellared example of white Burgundy from the excellent 2007 vintage. We recently re-tasted it and its showing great verve, with lemon and ripe stone fruit flavours and a mouth watering cut, coming from its rocky, white soil and ripe acidity. This is highly recommended as a resonant and ready-to-drink value from one of the finest sources in the Côte Chalonnaise.
Brioche and vanilla notes presently struggle with reticent white flower aromas that introduce more concentrated and intense medium-bodied flavors that benefit from solid acid support on the rich, minerally and long finale. Lovely if a bit too woody for me but note that the wood does not upset the overall balance. Drink: 2011+ Outstanding Top Value. 89-91 Points. Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 32
