Jacobs Creek Reserve Barossa Riesling 2015
The Royal Sydney Wine Show is not only revered as one of the most prestiguous shows in Australia, it is recognised as being of world-class standard. Its move from to July from its traditional February date has only served to build the anticipation, particularly with new vintage Rieslings being exhibited.
With over 130 Rieslings tasted including big names - and big price tags - from Penfolds (Bin 51), Leo Buring (Leonay), Seppelt (Drumborg) and Leasingham (Classic Clare) - the relatively low priced winner may surprise a few but certainly no one that has seen the value over a couple of decades from this label.
Scoring 97 Points to win the Top Gold Medal in its class and subsequently take out the Trophy for Best Riesling was the Jacobs Creek Reserve Barossa Riesling 2015. An $18.00 retail already makes this one of the lowest priced exhibits, our offer price almost guarantees it!
The JC Reserve shows bright, zesty lemon citrus flavours and floral freshness with hints of chalkiness. It is as fresh as a daisy and will age a decade if required. Bargain basement Rizza. Sadly, Trophy, Gold and 97 Point Riesling at this price does not last long so load up.
