Freycinet Pinot Noir 2014
Inspired by the tremendous opportunities of the Tasmanian East Coast, adjacent to the Freycinet Peninsula, Geoff and Sue Bull established the vineyard in 1980. Situated on the 42 degree latitudinal line, Freycinet Vineyard has a unique micro-climate. The long growing season, which extends into May, combines very high sunshine hours with 1250 degree days, winter rains and no frosts, to produce excellent quality cool climate fruit.
The vineyard bloodline and pedigree is unmistakable in this wine. The aroma and flavour purity is clearly Pinot Noir with the usual abundance of richness, complexity, colour and tannins which is typical from our site. Freycinet Vineyard has a fine track record and a reputation for producing exemplary Pinot Noirs going back to 1988.
